We found these below Zinal which is a typical habitat, the Alpine Snowbell grows up to around 2000m in meadows and pastures.

1Just came across Swiss Mountain Leader from a link on j2Ski.
I have been looking for a book in English featuring European Alpine flowers.
I have found many in bookshops written in French, but would prefer one in English. Can you reccomend such a book.

That’s a good question and I think people use a whole load of things that work for them, personally I’m a fan of the Black’s Nature Guides and you’ve reminded me that I meant to post a link for them !
