Two different days and two different “tours”. On Friday we climbed our local via ferrata on the Tour d’Aï with the usual great, great views over lake Geneva. Having climbed via ferrata in Switzerland and the Dolomites I can honestly say our local route is one of the best. It’s K4 or DIFFICULT and is strenuous in places but with enough resting places to make it a fairly easy. The lift company have reduced the price of tickets this summer so it’s an even better deal than ever to ride the lift up and hike to the start of the route.
A couple of days later we walked from the chalet and made the 1100m ascent to the top of the Tour Mayen. It was cloudy but with enough sunny breaks to give nice views.
This is something of an experiment but I took some video footage as well. It’s not very good but it’s about good enough that I’ll try again!
