It’s always hit and miss this time of year for snowshoeing and skiing, the snow is hard to predict but more often than not there’s at least a few days that are excellent. Today was one, cold, sunny and quiet. Of course the lifts aren’t running and that’s a bonus, it means you’ve got the slopes to yourself.
There’s about 30cm of snow fallen in the village and more like 50-60cm higher up around Les Fers. In fact, oddly enough, there were no tracks up there at all but, with hindsight, that was because yesterday was a bit wild and the few that went out stuck to the treeline. All the better for us really!
