The 38th International Balloon Festival is running over at Château-d’Oex this week so we’ve been over with a couple of sets of people to snowshoe on Monts-Chevreuils and watch the balloons. On both occasions we descended to Les Moulins to take advantage of the grandstand view. So far, the warm temperatures haven’t done too much damage to the snow, it’s not vintage powder and it’s firm in places but there are still some nice days out.
