The snow is settling now into a spring pattern with freezes at night and warming up during the day. Before it gets too warm at these heights I thought I’d take a quick ski up to Pierre du Moëllé. I was in a minor quandary about how high to climb, higher up and the snow was still frozen and skiing well. But, as it was melting a little the longer I delayed the descent the more the snow deteriorates. So I picked a random high spot on the ridge, ate my sandwiches and skied down. Slightly heavy in places but basically good skiing.
