I’m pretty sure this is the best local day on snowshoes although it’s slightly ambitious with quite a long climb on snow that’s mostly like concrete. The snowshoes were pretty vital though for their spikes and crampons.
It was fairly surreal climbing the last few metres on hard, steep snow to step into the sun and see people who’d climbed the bare southern slope in tee shirts!
