We were lucky enough to have received a gift of a night in Ovronnaz at the famous thermal baths so we decided to take a short break and spend a few days in the Valais. We’d actually been at Crans earlier in the week on a really foggy day so we didn’t get to see much at all. Booking at the last minute in Montana we were able to find a nice hotel close to the lifts and have a leisurely couple of days skiing there.
There’s a lot of big wide open pistes around the area which are all perfectly groomed so it’s quite a fun place to ski with a few nice little restaurants and drinks stops.
After skiing the day at Crans-Montana we headed over to Ovronnaz to check into the hotel and use the thermal baths. It’s not the sort of thing I normally do so I was surprised how much I enjoyed it, so much that I’d go back again. We’ve skied in Ovronnaz a few times before, mostly passing through to ski-tour so calling at the the thermal baths would work well at the end of a day.
