While avalanche risks remains high and it’s good to find some milder terrain. And, we’ve not actually been to the Cabane des Monts-Chevreuils this season. They’re offering a takeout service, so you can buy some food drink and find a space in the snow to enjoy. It’s a good arrangement and works well even on a cold day like yesterday if the sun is out.
We climbed up the longer north side and it was almost busy, the car park was pretty full and we could see groups of 2,3 or 4 people making their way up the hill. And they made a good skin track as the snow was really deep in places giving some turns in deep, cold powder on the way down.
