I was pretty surprised that we were the only people here today, I wasn’t expecting to find untracked snow from the top so that was a bonus. We climbed from the valley recently but the cover isn’t there now so we drove to mid-station instead and climbed from there.
There’s a layer of soft fresh snow on top of a hard layer so it’s skis pretty well. The top ridge is pretty exposed and wind has stripped the snow away. Some of the wind transported snow has refroze with some of the Sahara sand that dropped over the weekend.
