One of my favourite areas for mountain biking is the Swiss Jura, lots of rolling terrain so you’re constantly doing small climbs and descents and making transitions instead of the big-up/big-down we get here in the alpes!
I’ve crossed this ridge a few times, the first time my battery ran out near the end, the second I tore my rear derailleur off and this time I nearly ran our battery. Midweek here and places are closed so the restaurant at the col I thought I might charge the battery at was shut. But, I made it back to the car with about enough battery to dimply light a bulb for 30 seconds I guess.
