Another fine autumn day which was a great time to ride in the Jura again. It’s pretty empty right now, the cows are gone and the farms are closed up for the winter. As a great advantage for mountain bikers the fences and gates are removed – some small care is needed as in places the wire is just dropped to the ground so it’s better to ride through opened gates compared to dropped fences!
The col du Marchairuz makes a good start and I really wanted to go south but first I headed a little north for a quick ascent of the Grand Cunay to get those great views back to the alps!
