This is a favorite local tour climbing up to the pas de Cheville. There was still snow in places and the last few hundred metres were awkward. On these spring days there’s also still some avalanches as the high gullys below Glacier 3000 release their snow. The pas de Cheville is a wide open alpage and there’s no real danger from those avalanches providing you keep a few hundred meters clear of the runout zones!
