This route crosses the old Rellerli ski area which has been closed for several years. There’s been a lot of work on trails and it’s been really well executed. We started in Rougemont as the ski station car park is really convenient and the village has some cafes and restaurants for a post-ride drink.
The weather forecast was a bit variable and it was likely to get worse during the day so I’d planned to descend form Rellerli to Schönreid in case we wanted to take the train back to Rougemont.
