We run this a day tour for groups of 4 people or as part of multi-day snowshoe trips.
Description
A snowshoe trip to the Hospice du Grand-Saint-Bernard by snowshoes. At 2469m in height and only two hundred metres from the Italian border there’s been a monastery here since the 9th century. This is a chance to spend the night at the hospice in winter when it’s only accessible by skis or snowshoes. Famous as the birthplace of the Saint-Bernard dogs and guarding a pass used for 3000 years this is a fabulous journey in the high mountains.
