Alpine Hiking 2024

Leysin is a great base for hiking and trekking. We’ve the triple peaks of the Tour d’Aï, the Tour de Mayen and Tour de Famelon above the village and the limestone pavements to explore. We’ve got great access to other centres like Gstaad, Les Diablerets or the Portes du Soleil. Our routes vary from alpine meadow to high mountains and from alpine forest to high passes.

Flexible stays

Using our booking system you can pick any number of days and nights and choose whatever arrival and departure days suit you. We’re the only operator to offer this level of flexibility. We’ve a two-night minimum stay with one day of guided activity per week, you can take it from there!

How hard is it?

Our normal level is a walk around 5 or 6 hours with enough time to take photographs, admire the flora and enjoy the surroundings. A normally fit and active person would find this perfect. We also offer more serious routes with 8-9 hours walking and ascents of 1000m, if you’re comfortable hiking up Snowdon this is your level. If in doubt, get in touch!
We’ve several partners in the UK who can arrange training days all over the UK if you want to test your fitness. Just ask us for details

Easy access from Geneva Airport

We’re connected to the main Swiss rail by a mountain railway that runs hourly climbing through picturesque vineyards into the village. If you prefer to drive, we’re about 20mins above the autoroute exit by car.

Accommodation

These trips are based at our own B&B, Chalet L’Epicea, here in Leysin. It’s consistently rated as excellent on review sites and we think it’s a great base for all your activities in Leysin. We get great reviews and you can read them on TripAdvisor
